The following paper details research on the topics of systematic synthetic phonics, Total Physical Response, and Story-telling teaching techniques. This paper also details a qualitative study from my own personal experiences in the US Peace Corps, where I used a combination of these teaching methods and techniques to teach basic English literacy skills to young EFL learners in Thailand during a two day phonics camp.
